Wow...its been awhile. Im going to split the update into two posts so bare with me. Well lets start with Christmas. It was such a good Christmas. I love the holiday season! On Christmas Eve we had dinner at my parents house. I love this tradition and I loved being able to be with just my parents for a short time. Christmas morning we went to my mother-in-laws house and did breakfast and presents. Then we stopped at my parents to do presents. We had Christmas dinner at our house with my parents and my father-in-laws family. It went great! No major problems. Dinner turned out great. We had 2 turkeys and one ham. We oven baked the ham and one of the turkeys and we deep fried another turkey. I have never had deep fried turkey until I met Brett. His dad has done a deep fried turkey for awhile now and so of course we had to carry on the tradition. The food was delicious! We had soooo many leftovers it was ridiculous! We seriously were eating the leftovers for a complete week. We still had a ton left over a week later, but I threw them out because the food was getting old and I was bored of the same stuff haha
New Years was great. We spent it with family. For me, New Years has never been a holiday to go out and party. I love ringing in the new year with family and I love that Brett shares that same thought. I love the thought of having a new year. Its a new start on life. Its a way to refresh yourself and change things that need to change. Its a good time to look at yourself and see where you are in life. Brett and I arent setting any new years resolutions. We dont want to set high goals for ourselves and then be disappointed if we dont reach them. We know what we need to work on in life and thats what we're doing. We're taking life day by day. We cant plan our lives 12 years in advance. Trust me....if I could I would. But we cant so why try. Our lives and plans are constantly changing and we are learning to go with it. So for now this is our life and we couldnt be more happy :)
