I am so horrible at updating this thing....my goal is to try and get better haha lets all cross our fingers...well lets see whats been going on for the last little while...since the last update we now have a new roof! woohoo! no more leaks! I am so paranoid though...every time there is a storm I run to our bedroom and check the floor, this will probably never change, just cause I'm paranoid like that.
Brett went Snow Goose hunting down in Delta. He didnt get anything but his dad did. Even though he didnt get anything he said he still had a blast. Its always good for him to get away for a guy weekend. While he was gone I stayed at my parents house. I hate staying home by myself(even though we have 2 guys living with us)...I hate sleeping in our big bed by myself. So instead I opt to sleep at my parents in my old room on a twin with a dog haha what a trade! But so much fun! I love being able to go back to my parents while Brett is out of town. I love that they are ok with me staying there...it always seems like old times. But of course it's always nice to come back home and be with my hubby.
I turned 22 this month! Yay! 22 really isnt anything special but I had an amazing birthday weekend :) I had to work on my birthday this year so I decided to take the Friday and Saturday after my birthday off. On Friday we slept in and got up and went to Red Robin for lunch. So delicious! Then we headed off to the zoo! It was so fun to just spend some time together. I always love the zoo. The zoo didnt take as long as we expected so we ended up going to Motorsports Land to kill some time...dont judge. I LOVE looking at motorhomes and campers. Then we went to dinner with my parents to a mexican restaurant down in Springville mmmm :). Saturday I went scrapbooking all day with my mom and some friends. It was so nice to have a girls day and to somewhat get caught up on my books. Sunday we had another family dinner with my Father-in-laws family and my parents. And then monday we had another dinner with my Mother-in-laws side. It was definitely a great weekend.
We also now have 4 chickens and 2 ducks. The chickens are for eggs and the ducks are for fun haha I have always wanted a duck. So now that I have my own yard it was the opportune time.
Thats about all thats been going on. Work is going great for both of us. Brett is still with Geek Squad and I am still at Octapharma. I have now been there for 6 months and I am still loving what I do. Brett has also decided that he is going to go back to school and get a degree in Computer Sciences. I am so proud of him for making that decision. He is such a great support in my life and I cant wait to be supporting him through school.
I am so excited for the things to come! This year has already been a great year and I cant wait to see what else it brings! I keep thinking about how blessed we are at such a young age. We are so grateful for all the experiences we've had in our lives and how much we are able to do. I keep thinking about the people in Japan and what they are all going through right now. I cant imagine such a thing to be going through. They are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. I hope every one is taking time to remember how blessed they are at this moment.
