I can't believe it's already almost February! I kept meaning to post at the beginning at the year, and well, obviously that didn't happen. Let's see.....what's been happening.....
*Christmas is always a busy time of year with all of our family. We are constantly running around Christmas Eve and Christmas. I love that we host Christmas dinner with my parents and Brett's dads family. Its nice to be home and enjoy our family at home.
*New Years was nothing special. We spent the night again with family, which is always a good plan.
*We celebrated our 3 year anniversary on the 15th. We did what we always do, which is lunch, dinner at Olive Garden, a movie and spent the night at The Inn on the Hill. This place is seriously my favorite place. It's a gorgeous manor up on Capitol Hill. It has such amazing charm and the people who run it are always so nice. We were thinking of maybe going somewhere else this year but we just couldn't find anything to live up to this place. So we will be back next year!
*Brett got his wisdom teeth out over the weekend. Brett has never had any kind of surgery since we've been together so I was really excited to see how he would be after the anesthesia, since I am super talkative and really sleepy after.
I had my camera ready to film when I went into the recovery room. I looked at him and he looked right at me a smiled and said "Hi Sweetie." I asked him how he was feeling and he said fine. He didn't even seem out of it. until he started repeating everything and asking the same questions over and over. He then told me my birthdate and our anniversary date, when I asked him why, he said "I just want to make sure you knew that I knew them." oh wait....it gets better. He then proceeded to tell me that his doctor was an octopus with 8 arms and that's how he pulled his teeth. Then he asked me if while I was in Shopko getting his prescriptions, if I could buy him a whiteboard. When I asked him why he said "so I can draw boobies!". I thought, wait, is that what you were dreaming of?! Goodness! He then kept noticing that the doctor gave him his teeth back, and he kept asking me "did I ask him for them?". What a character. I love that boy and I am so glad he is back to feeling normal and can eat more than just applesauce, pudding and yogurt!
I think that's about as eventful as life has been lately. Apparently we are going Snow Goose hunting in March....yes...it will be so cold. I am aware....but that's what I get for being married to a hunter boy! Wish me luck!
