Welcome to Riverton!

We finally have moved! It was such a long and stressful process, but we are finally in our house and we couldn't be more happy! We are absolutely loving Riverton. I especially LOVE the fact that I am 10 minutes away from work and Brett is now down to a 30 minute commute instead of 45 minutes. We are loving the fact that we have no idea where anything is. We are discovering all sorts of new favorites here and just loving the area and love that there are tons of farms out here. Here are some details that we love about this house:
  • Its not in West Valley.
  • Its bigger and newer than our old house.
  • It's on a .27 lot.
  • 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with the possibility of turning the laundry room back into a bathroom.
  • Secondary water.
  • Tons of closet storage! With a finished crawl space under half of the house(for more storage)
  • Its kind of on a dead end...at the end of our street is a LDS church.
  • It has an attached garage! That was a big deal for me!
  • We still have a walk in closet and our own bathroom!
  • There is a park right down the street from us.
  • We are super close to the Jordan River Parkway.
  • So close to Redwood, Bangerter Highway and I-15.
So far we have only met 2 of the 4 neighbors...it kinda sucks, but we aren't the type of people to just walk up and knock on someones front door. I also kinda feel like they should be the ones to come to us and welcome us to the neighborhood....oh well....

Here are some pictures of our new house and yard.
                                                                   Front Room
Fireplace in the front room...I have no idea what to put above the fireplace, its such a tall ceiling.
The kitchen with the brand new appliances!! :)
This is the guest bathroom,  I am so in love with the way it turned out. The previous owners painted it blue, and I was for sure that it wouldn't look good, but it actually turned out so cute.
Our HUGE backyard! The dogs are in heaven and love playing back here. We love sitting out on our patio(seen below) and watching them play.
This is our family room. I love the feeling of this room. Its such a relaxing room and is so calming. Its crazy how you can bring the furniture from the old house to the new house and get a totally different vibe. We do not miss West Valley at all!

WE LOVE OUR NEW HOME! We are so happy here and can't wait to start our family here. This is definitely the house we can see ourselves in for a very long time with a few little ones....now we just need to get the little ones ;)
