surpise!!

When you think of a surprise party you would think that the person being surprised would have a surprised look on their face...well you haven't met my husband then. Seriously he had THE LAMEST surprised fave that I have ever seen. He had no emotion when we said surprise. Lame! Anyway....I threw him a surprise party last night for the big 21! Thanks to my parents we didn't have to have it in our little apartment. My parents were kind enough to let me have the party at their house. My parents are truly amazing and helped so much! One day I will be able to repay them for everything that they do for us. Anyway...I have been planning this party for more than a month. It was soooo hard to keep it a secret from him. But I did it and he had no idea! Even his friends at work kept it a secret and led him on.

This is how it went down. I text him during the day and asked him if it was ok that I went scrapbooking with my mom for the night. He said yes, of course. He then told his buddy at work that he had a Friday night to himself and he was going to make himself a nice bowl of Ramen for dinner. Meanwhile, I am rushing all over to get everything together and putting up all the decorations. Everyone came over at 6. I called Brett at 6:15 saying that my dad was moving the generator out of the garage and into the shed and he threw is back out. I asked Brett if he would go over and help my dad get it in the shed now. Brett pulled in at 6:30 and walked in the backyard....I'm pretty sure you can figure out what happened from there....we all yelled surprise and then the party began. Our friend Garrett made a cake for Brett. Garrett makes the most amazing cakes ever! He is definitely talented. (We always joke that we are going to start a wedding business together.) He made a Duck cake for Brett because he loves to go duck hunting.

Thank you to everyone who took the time out of their day to come and show your love to Brett. I am so happy that it all worked out and that he was so happy.

I love Brett so much! He is the best husband and friend anyone could ask for. He will do anything for anyone at any given time. He came into my life at the perfect time and has been such a great support to me. We have been through a lot over the last year and a half, and that has just made our relationship so much stronger. He is my best friend and the love of my life. I can't wait to have little babies with him and expand our little family. He is going to be such an amazing dad and we already agree on how we are going to raise our kids.

I love you baby and I hope you have an amazing birthday weekend! :)
