February

I am going to try to update at the end of every month....so here we gooooo......

February....We started the month out by having a Super Bowl party at our house. We have hosted this party with family and friends for the last 3 years, maybe 4, who knows. All I know is we host. One thing we were worried about when we moved was that our family and friends wouldn't come visit because we were so far away, but luckily that didn't change anything. We still host Thanksgiving, Christmas and the Super Bowl.

Anyway...the Super Bowl was fun. We didn't have any real care who won the game. Neither of them are our teams. I would have liked to have seen Peyton Manning win another ring, but oh well. It was kind of a lame game and was pretty much over when it started. But it was still fun to hang out with everyone for the night. We seriously had so much food we could've fed another 20 people. We always over cook for family functions. Hubs over cooks even when he makes dinner for just us. He'll cook a 12 pack of chicken for just us 2....a little much haha.

Valentines.....Valentines was perfect! Brett ended up having the day off, which is surprising because it was a Friday. Weekends in a retail store is usually not a voluntarily given day off. Somehow we lucked out. We woke up at 8, went to Cummings Chocolate and bought my chocolate covered raspberries, strawberries and mint sandwiches. Then we came home and relaxed( I may or may not have taken a nap...). We got all showered and ready and headed out to the Hunting and Conservation expo(I know, I know....I'm such a good wife). We had to take in some paper so that Brett was going to be entered in for all of the hunts he wants to do. Then we walked around for about an hour and looked at all the exhibits. It was pretty much guided hunt booths, taxidermy booths, guns and added extras for your guns and bows. But I did get lucky enough to score a pretty sweet camo duffel bag with pink accents. If you would've told me in high school that I was going to marry a man who loved to hunt and that I would end up going with him and loving it, I would've told you that you are crazy! But I now love to go hunting(I don't hunt, yet). I love being out in nature with my husband and seeing how happy he gets when he's got a gun in his hand and he's on the lookout.

We had 2 birthdays this month, Brett's little step-brother turned 10 and his oldest brother turned 30! What a huge age difference haha. We went to his step-brothers birthday party at Boondocks. I never thought that playing laser tag and go carts with 5 little kids could be so much fun. For his older brothers birthday there was a family dinner at his house. After the family dinner, his and his wife's friends came over and partied.

February has been a good month and I am excited to see what March will bring....not to mention, it is my birthday month! Yes I celebrate all month long! Woo Woo!
